One of my favourite clothing brands, Living Dead Clothing (LDC), does a small release each week on the Monday. These items are limited to being available for 48 hours, and this week the release was simple black staple pieces, including a maxi skirt. Being 5’2″ (157cm), maxi skirts and dresses don’t usually suit me, and just make me look even shorter than I am, but I decided to risk it anyway.
As this piece arrived Wednesday morning, I of course had to wear it that very day.
Though we are well into the start of winter here in Melbourne, the weather this week has been sunny and reasonably warm. So I decided to pretend it was still autumn, and wore an outfit channelling autumn, Halloween and witchy vibes.
This outfit includes my favourite dress, a pumpkin skater dress from Black Milk clothing, my new maxi skirt from Living Dead, a simple black cardigan, simple black boots and a floppy black hat.
To match my makeup, I used a light gold shadow as a base, a darker gold blended into the crease and outer half of the eye, then a brown to add dimension in the crease (all eyeshadows from the ELF 120 palette), finished with a bold winged liner. I had intended to match this with a dark berry lipstick but I ran out of time. (My makeup photography doesn’t do it justice, clearly I am still learning)
Pumpkin Skater Dress – Black Milk Clothing
Maxi Black Skirt – Living Dead Clothing – $90
Boots – Kmart – $25
Cardigan – ?
Floppy Black Hat – Supre – $20
Jewellery wise, I just wore my triceratops necklace I wear everyday and a long obsidian necklace from a little store called chaosbaby. Also a ring from The Rouge and The Wolf.
I love everything autumn and Halloween so this was a really nice outfit and a good one for my first outfit of the day.
